This release introduces two powerful platform primitives - content templates and workflow automation - that make it faster to create consistent content and automate actions across your entire pipeline.
Content Templates
Every content type now supports reusable templates. A template is a pre-filled content item that you can use as a starting point when creating new content.
- Create once, reuse everywhere - set up a template with your standard fields, formatting, and structure. Use it every time you create that type of content.
- Live data from related records - templates can include merge tags like
{{event.title}}or{{event.start_date}}that automatically pull in data from linked records when the template is applied. - Works with any content type - blog posts, social posts, events, newsletters - any content type supports templates natively.
Templates are built using the same editor you already know. Fill in the fields you want pre-populated, save it as a template, and it's ready to use.
Workflow Automation
Lifecycle rules can now trigger on any workflow state transition, not just creation and publishing. This means you can automate actions at every step of your content pipeline.
- Trigger on any state - fire automated actions when content moves to "approved," "reviewed," or any custom state you've defined.
- Email delivery action - a new action type sends emails directly from content, complete with file attachments. Fast, reliable, and mechanical.
- Chain it together - create content from a template, review it, then transition to the next state to trigger automated delivery or syndication.
