You had 59 social designs. You could see 26 of them.

The rest sat behind a text dropdown, which is a poor way to choose a picture. This release fixes that, and makes the whole social editing loop something you can actually watch.

Browse Your Designs

The design picker is now a grid of thumbnails. Every design shows you what it looks like, which means 33 designs that had never once been used are now findable.

Preview While You Edit

A live preview sits beside the editing form and updates as you type. No more filling in fields, rendering, checking the result, and going back to fix it.

Know When Something Is Stale

If you change the content behind a social post after its design was rendered, the post now says so - and re-renders with one click. Previously a stale image could sit there looking finished.

Send Newsletters From Your Own Domain

Newsletters can now go out from your own domain rather than a shared Kwill address - better deliverability, and your name in the inbox instead of ours.

This is an option rather than a default. It needs a DNS change on your domain, so get in touch and we will set it up with you. If you would rather not bother, nothing changes and your newsletters keep sending as they do today.

Know Where Your Subscribers Came From

Signups now record their source, so you can see which post, link, or campaign brought each subscriber.

Any account can now create its own vanity short links, each with its own share card - useful for print, yard signs, and anywhere a long URL will not fit.

Kwill HR

We launched Kwill HR, our own HR advisory practice, on a Kwill site. We think that is the honest way to prove a platform works: run a real business on it.

The template behind it is available to every account, so anyone building a professional services or advisory site can start from it.

  • Mailing lists for civic sites, with separate lists for newsletter subscribers and volunteers
  • A self-service brand guide page generated from your site's own colors and type
  • Interrupted image renders now recover instead of sitting stuck, and a render that times out is reported as failed rather than staying pending forever
  • Social posts no longer fail silently at publish when an edit drops a slide's design
  • New social designs - Golden Hour, Last Call, and Meet the Slate, plus designs for election calendars and deadlines
  • Media library fixes - folder creation and renaming are reliable again, and Copy Public URL works
